The Wrath was a space station belonging to the Imperial Navy that orbited the planet Ponemah Terminal. Following the Battle of Endor in 4 ABY, Commander Ciena Ree spent her medical leave on the station, working to discover if lost Imperial officers were dead or alive. Nearly a year later, Ree left the station fully recovered as a captain, having been promoted by Grand Moff Randd on the Wrath's bridge and given the command of the Star Destroyer Inflictor.
The space station Wrath orbited the planet Ponemah Terminal, which was located in the Outer Rim Territories and Western Reaches regions. The top of the station was wheel-shaped, and from its base protruded a cone that had a saucer-like area on its midsection.
Internally, the Wrath featured an octangular, windowless bridge with junior officers on long banks of stations lining the room; a large, transparent dome overhead; reddish lights; and mesh metal floors. The space station also contained at least one docking bay that allowed for the boarding of an Imperial-class Star Destroyer, as well as medical facilities complete with a bacta tank.
Following the Battle of Endor in 4 ABY, the Wrath was utilized by the Imperial Navy. At that time, Imperial Commander Ciena Ree was given medical leave to regrow her liver, which had been damaged at Endor, and was assigned to the Wrath for several months because of the station's capacity for extraneous personnel.
Although Imperial officers were not obligated to work on medical leave, Ree spent her free time on the station confirming if lost Imperials were dead or alive, then either discovering their location or informing their family of their passing. However, due to her injury, Ree still had to spend several hours a day in a bacta tank.
Around a year after the Battle of Endor, and after ten months on the Wrath, Ree was cleared for active service. Her first task was to meet with Grand Moff Randd on the Wrath's bridge, where he promoted her to captain of the Imperial-class Star Destroyer Inflictor in front of a small crowd of officers, including Ree's friend Commander Nash Windrider. The crowd then proceeded to the Wrath's docking bay to board the Inflictor.
The Wrath first appeared in the 2015 junior novel Lost Stars, by Claudia Gray. It was first depicted in chapter twenty-nine of the book's Japanese webcomic adaptation, which was written and illustrated by Yusaku Komiyama and began releasing on May 4, 2017.
Although the Lost Stars novel states that the Wrath's bridge was windowless, the webcomic conversely depicts it with several viewports. Furthermore, the manga has a scene depicting Ciena Ree and Nash Windrider on the Wrath before the former's promotion, despite the novel displaying Ree's surprise at seeing Windrider at that promotion. In both cases, this article assumes the novel to be correct.
