Zint was an Aloxian Jedi Initiate who lived during the High Republic Era. Recruited into the Jedi Order by Jedi Master Cherff Maota in 230 BBY, Zint was present aboard the Padawan Academic Cruiser Star Hopper when the vessel was part of a Jedi task force sent to capture the Nihil pirate Krix Kamerat on the Outer Rim planet Dol'har Hyde. After Kamerat was apprehended, the Initiate played with fellow Aloxian Jedi Padawan Qort and his friend—Padawan Farzala Tarabal—as the Star Hopper made its way to the space station Starlight Beacon to deliver their prisoner.
Sometime after her arrival at the station, it was sabotaged by the Nihil, who also released mysterious creatures aboard the station. As a result, the Initiate was trapped aboard the doomed station with the Jedi of the Star Hopper, while also being hunted by one of the creatures. The group came across the Jedi investigator Emerick Caphtor and Galactic Republic private investigator Sian Holt, who were investigating the same entities that pursued Zint and her group. Qort took the Initiates aboard Holt's ship, and they fled Starlight Beacon once Holt acquired one of the creature's claws.
Zint was an Aloxian Force-sensitive who lived during the High Republic Era. In 230 BBY, she was recruited into the Jedi Order by the Jedi seeker Jedi Master Cherff Maota and was among a group of other new Jedi Initiates aboard the Padawan Academic Cruiser Star Hopper when it was part of a Jedi task force sent to capture the Nihil pirate cell leader Krix Kamerat on the Outer Rim jungle planet Dol'har Hyde. During the battle, the cruiser was piloted by Jedi Masters Obratuk Glii and Tabakan Pak who, due to the presence of the new younglings, decided the ship would stay out of the action, which ended with Kamerat successfully being captured by the Jedi. Afterward, the pirate was brought aboard the Star Hopper to be transported back to the space station Starlight Beacon. The younglings, including Zint, gathered to see Kamerat being walked through the ship, and were acknowledged by the Bravaisian Padawan Bibs. Seeing the group of younglings, the Zygerrian Padawan Farzala Tarabal welcomed them and instructed them to head to their quarters, stating they would talk once the prisoner was in his .
While the Aloxian Padawan Qort began to go with his friends to take Kamerat to the cell, he heard Zint talk and looked back. The two then spoke to each other, with Qort introducing himself, and the youngling introducing herself before she hugged him. Following this, the two sat opposite each other and used the Force together on a circular object. Tarabal arrived to inform Qort he was needed, but saw the two Aloxians sat together, and decided to join them. As the two Padawans talked about their experiences over the past year and what was to come next, they used the Force to move Zint in the air. At this moment, Masters Torban Buck, Glii, and Pak arrived to ask Qort and Tarabal to dress in their formal temple attire and meet them at the bridge for their knightings. Zint landed on Buck's head, and he recoginized the youngling as an Aloxian. Afetr she pulled on his horns, he called her strong, and she eventually got down. Sometime later, Zint was among the Jedi present at the bridge of the Star Hopper when Qort and Tarabal became Jedi Knights and they cut off their Padawan braids. Along with the other Jedi on the bridge, Zint raised her lightsaber into the air in celebration.
Soon after the Star Hoppper arrived at Starlight, the Nihil sabotaged the station, and Zint along with Qort, Buck, Tarabal, Padwan Lula Talisola, several other Padawans, and the other younglings were trapped in a section of the station. The Nihil also released creatures known as the Nameless—which caused Force-users to experience hallucinations—one of which began to hunt Zint and her group. As they made their way through the station, Buck carried Zint. Knowing that keeping the younglings safe was the most important thing as they were being hunted by the creature, Talisola suggested that they send a small team to escort the younglings to the station's Jedi quarter to see what they could find. Buck and the younglings agreed with the idea, with Zint raising her hand in agreement, and they set out. As they made their way to the Jedi quarter, Bibs and another Padawan—Rardal Balnar—rushed to confront the Nameless. Buck called their names out as Zint looked on in horror, and the two Jedi did not return.
Qort then attacked the creature, wounding it and causing it to run away, but also discovered what had happened to Bibs and Rardal: they were dead. The Jedi Knight informed the rest of the older Jedi to bring the younglings quickly and then he fell onto the floor. Buck, continuing to hold Zint went to help Qort. The Jedi then heard a loud noice, the escaped Kamerat, and Talisola left to deal with him, instructing the rest to go. The group then continued their way through Starlight to the assembly room where they encountered Jedi investigator Emerick Caphtor and Galactic Republic private investigator Sian Holt, who had traveled to Starlight to investigate the Nameless. As Buck spoke with the two, Qort led the younglings to Holt's ship and ensured they all made it aboard, including Zint. After Holt managed to retrieve a claw of the Nameless creature that had been hunting the group, Buck instructed the two investigators to leave the station with Qort and the younglings and report his findings to the Jedi High Council. As the ship left the station, Zint and the rest of the younglings gathered with Qort. Zint later accompanied the Jedi to the Outer Rim planet Eriadu.
Zint had blue skin, gray hair, and red eyes. The Aloxian cared greatly about Lady Krevlin of the Tarkin family, who referred to Zint as "Zinty-poo" and considered the Aloxian her favorite youngling. While she did not want to leave Krevlin on Eriadu because she was worried the woman would be hurt during a Nihil attack, Zint initially left, but hid on the so she could return to Eriadu and Krevlin.
Zint wore the skull of a vonduun crab, which was traditionally acquired by Aloxians on their home planet Zav Alox as part of a ritual, on her head. As a Jedi youngling, she wore brown Jedi robes and utilized a green-bladed lightsaber.
