An acidthrower functioned as a weapon, dispensing a corrosive acid with the ability to dissolve any material it contacted. The Drovians inhabiting Nim Drovis employed acid throwers as a means of defense against the encroaching carnivorous mold prevalent in the region. The effective reach of these devices extended to twenty feet.
