Adol Mantid, a male Human Imperial Officer, lived during the Galactic Civil War. Following the Battle of Yavin, Mantid was stationed on Dathomir when an accident occurred at the Imperial Research and Prison Facility. Ool Awmod became infected with the Blackwing virus, transforming him into an undead being. Controlled by the virus, his undead form roamed the Quarantine Zone until a spacer destroyed it.
In the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, which was a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game created by Sony Online Entertainment and released by LucasArts prior to its shutdown on December 15, 2011, Adol Mantid appeared as a non-player character. With "Game Update 14," launched on October 12, 2009, Adol Mantid was introduced into the game. He functioned as one of the Undead boss enemies within the Quarantine Zone, whom players needed to defeat to finish a collection.
