Alitra
During the era of the Galactic Civil War, a Zabrak musician named Alitra (a female) was active. Following the Battle of Yavin, she became a member of a band that performed within the Bright Jewel system, where she played the kloo horn. This band also consisted of Alisia and Mako, who were also musicians, as well as O'choa Detera and [Mestral], who were dancers. The band frequently entertained patrons at the cantinas of Tansarii Point Station and Nova Orion Station, both space station located in proximity to the planet Ord Mantell, which was situated in the Bright Jewel system. The band was known for performing covers of well-known songs originating from Tatooine, such as "Mad About Me", "Dune Sea Special", and "Lapti Nek". Despite the skill of Alitra and her fellow musicians, they sometimes faced criticism due to their reliance on covers rather than original compositions.
Behind the scenes
Alitra appeared as a non-player character in Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game from 2003 developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts. The game shut down on December 15, 2011. She and her band were incorporated into the game as part of the "New Player Tutorial," which was introduced with the release of "Publish 25," also known as the "New Game Enhancements," on November 15, 2005. The band was featured in the cantina of Tansarii Point Station within the "New Player Tutorial." With the release of "Chapter 8," on January 15, 2008, Alitra and the band were also added to the cantina of Nova Orion Station.
