The New Republic referred to the main moon of Bessimir as Alpha moon. This moon served as the location for vital defensive installations, including antiship batteries, drone fighter storage, and a HVs-2 hypervelocity gun, at the time that Operation Hammerblow, the New Republic Fifth Fleet's operational readiness drill, was launched against the world.
