Altin Wuho

A Human replica droid of male programming, Altin Wuho was assigned to a special unit under the leadership of Captain Dirk Balor.

Biography

The creation of Wuho was specifically for the containment of a nightmare demon known as Reist. These nightmare demons possessed the ability to manipulate the thoughts of organic beings, materializing their deepest fears and leading them to madness, making them ideal weapons. However, because organics couldn't control them due to their inherent powers, a droid was required to manage the creature.

Wuho was tasked with keeping Reist securely confined. Reist was held within a force field and shielded with a lead helmet. This prevented Reist from influencing any member of Dirk Balor's crew. Wuho's method involved placing the creature inside a modified missile tube and removing its helmet. The tube would then be remotely launched to land on an enemy starship. Reist's abilities would then drive the crew insane, allowing the Imperials to conquer their targets without firing a single shot.

As time passed, Wuho became increasingly arrogant, recognizing the significance of his role. He would often challenge the captain's authority and mock him for his fear of Reist. On one fateful occasion, Balor's task force intercepted Luke Skywalker within the Lapez system. Wuho deployed Reist in his missile tube, landing it directly on the wing of Skywalker's X-wing. The nightmare demon's influence immediately began to affect Luke, causing him to crash his ship on Lapez 3.

Wuho took pride in his "pet's" success, but Balor commanded Wuho to go to the planet's surface to recover Reist and Skywalker's remains. Upon arrival, Wuho was shocked to discover Reist dead. In utter disbelief, Wuho attempted to interrogate Skywalker about how he had overcome the beast's power. Skywalker, however, was in no mood for conversation and drew a blaster on the droid. Wuho's advanced droid reflexes proved superior to the young Jedi, and he swiftly disarmed Skywalker by shooting the blaster from his hand.

Altin Wuho is killed by Luke Skywalker.

Skywalker, however, had another tactic in mind, and he used the Force to launch his lightsaber directly into Wuho's chassis, resulting in his destruction. Skywalker then extracted the stabilization unit from Wuho's ruined droid body to repair his X-wing, which had sustained damage during the crash. Skywalker abandoned the remains of the destroyed droid on the planet.
