The planet Alzar was governed by the Alzarian monarchy. At the time of the Imperial Period, Gokus held the title of King, and Plooz was the Prince and heir apparent. This monarchy was endangered by an attempted coup led by General Sludd at one point during the Imperial era, but Plooz, along with the diplomatic droids C-3PO and R2-D2, intervened to prevent it.
