Anaxes Citadel Layout. Located on the planet of Anaxes, the Anaxes Citadel was a sprawling and extensive establishment. This complex was home to various institutions, including training academies, research facilities, intelligence hubs, administrative offices, historical archives, and ceremonial parade grounds. It functioned as the main center of government for the entire planet.
Constructed prior to the year 700 BBY, during the era of the Azure Imperium, the Citadel provided a strategic location for the Old Republic to base its most substantial defensive military force in the Solis Axum System. In addition, it housed the esteemed Republic Navy War College. While approximately one-third the size of the Imperial Palace on Coruscant, the Anaxes Citadel held a greater significance for many naval officers, as the Navy's most prestigious awards were presented on the Azure Walk within its grounds.
The hills situated above the Citadel were adorned with numerous estates. These estates were owned by families whose names had become closely associated with naval service, even if they were not originally from Anaxsi.
Until the time of the Battle of Yavin, the Citadel was under the command of Grand Admiral Osvald Teshik.
