The Desilijic clan maintained control over the Overland, which effectively granted them financial dominance over the entire planet. Despite the Corporate Sector Authority's interest in Ando Prime, they were consistently unable to seize control of the local podracing industry from the Hutts. Kaeline Ungasan, a CSA operative of middling rank, tried to establish a rival podracing competition known as the Ungasan Cross Country, but in 27 BBY it was revealed that he was exploiting the Cross Country as a cover for illicit mining operations.
By 22 BBY, the Ando Overland continued to be a highly favored podracing event throughout the galaxy (having seemingly moved beyond the Ungasan era). Nevertheless, the capture of Zorba Desilijic Tiure, the Desilijic leader, triggered a financial meltdown for the clan. This, coupled with the growing resistance to podracing, foreshadowed the abandonment of the Ando Overland and other courses backed by the Desilijic family.
