Two distinct species that coexisted as a unified culture on Annoo, which was an agriworld situated within the Outer Rim Territories, were both referred to as Annoo-dat.
The initial Annoo-dat were reptilian beings with four eyes, native to the planet initially known as Annoo. These reptiles departed from their original home planet and subsequently overtook Gelefil, along with its native inhabitants, the Ret. Following this conquest, the Ret adopted the name Annoo-dat for themselves, and the planet Gelefil was renamed Annoo. Scholars of Xenobiology designated the original Annoo-dat as "Annoo-dat Prime" and the Ret as Annoo-dat Blue. Despite their different origins, the two Annoo-dat groups shared a common culture and did not acknowledge these classifications.
