Aquadon CAVa 400

The Aquadon CAVa 400 from the Hydrospeare Corporation represented an adaptation for underwater use, derived from the CAVw PX-10.

Characteristics

As part of Hydrospeare's suite of "modification packages", their Design Team Beta transformed the Combat Assault Vehicle into an amphibious machine. This specific adaptation was embraced by the Imperial forces. Echoing the original design, this single-person Imperial vehicle featured a centrally mounted medium blaster cannon turret. Distinctively, the pilot's compartment incorporated gyroscopic stabilization, similar to the B-wing, enabling the vehicle to maneuver at any angle like a submarine using its robust rear and side thrusters, while maintaining the pilot's orientation towards what was considered "forward". Moreover, it featured a detachable escape pod for emergency situations. A key factor in its widespread adoption was its relatively low maintenance requirements for a vehicle of its type.

History

During the Kath subjugations, the Empire deployed this vehicle, notably against Rebel elements situated in the Karm Trenches.
