Arber, a Human lieutenant of the male gender, served the Imperial Remnant throughout the conflict known as the Yuuzhan Vong War. During the Battle of Borosk, this lieutenant named Arber oversaw the operation of the gravitic amplitude modulator that was installed on the Star Destroyer called the Defiant (Defiant). This modulator was designed to disrupt the signals used by the yammosk to coordinate the Yuuzhan Vong's war efforts. Arber's effective employment of the GAM against one yammosk played a part in the Defiant's success in destroying that organic warship.
