Commander Archer, who served within the Grand Army of the Republic, commanded a squadron during 19 BBY, specifically following the Battle of Coruscant. This group was made up of no less than seven Aggressive ReConnaissance-170 and V-wing starfighters, each piloted by a number of Clone trooper pilots. The Senate Bureau of Intelligence tasked them with the pursuit of the Stellar Envoy.
The squadron led by Archer was featured in the novel Millennium Falcon, which was written by James Luceno.
