Arkuda, a planet characterized by its rocky terrain, existed within the Arkuda system. This world was found in the Loop Worlds region of the Gordian Reach sector, which itself was located in the Trans-Hydian section of the Outer Rim Territories. The Junction-Tierell Loop hyperlane served as a connection between Arkuda, the Gulvitch system, and the Vallusk Cluster. Before warping to Arkuda, starships using this hyperspace route commonly paused at the Vallusk Cluster to adjust their navigation computers. Furthermore, the Korphir Trace connected Arkuda to the Korphir system. This world was a stop along the Korphir Trace. Arkuda, notable for its stunning nighttime skies, was situated close to the Roil nebula. It was the original homeworld of the sentient Arkudan species.
The reference book The Essential Atlas, written by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry and published in 2009, was the first source to mention Arkuda, locating it in grid square Q-6.
