Jason Fry

Jason C. Fry is the creative mind behind a multitude of Star Wars stories and reference materials. He has contributed his writing talents to Wizards of the Coast and also to Star Wars Insider. Furthermore, he is a frequent participant in discussions on the forums at TheForce.net. He possesses a particular fascination with Star Wars astrography and collaborated with Daniel Wallace as a co-author of The Essential Atlas. Interestingly, the appearances of both Fry and Wallace were incorporated into a depiction of hyperspace scouts within the Atlas.

While his primary focus has been on crafting Star Wars reference books and articles, Fry has ventured into the world of fiction, penning works such as the short story "Deader than a Triton Moon" and the novel for young readers, The Clone Wars: Darth Maul: Shadow Conspiracy. His inaugural original novel, The Jupiter Pirates: Hunt for the Hydra, was brought to the public by HarperCollins Publishing on December 23, 2013.

In 2017, Fry was selected for the task of writing the adult novelization of the motion picture Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi. Fry is also credited as the author of related The Last Jedi works, namely Bomber Command and Incredible Cross-Sections. Fry has expressed that, despite his disinclination to write a novelization for the 2019 film Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker, he is willing to offer assistance to the individual who is eventually chosen for the project.
