The Bookshelf, a section penned by Jason Fry, appeared in a number of editions of the Star Wars Insider. Its focus was to provide critiques of the newest Star Wars literature, encompassing novels, books for young adults, and reference materials. Its initial appearance was in Star Wars Insider 44, where it was initially titled "Book Shelf". Subsequently, the title was shortened to "Books" in subsequent publications, and ultimately, the article was merged with other sections concerning the latest Star Wars merchandise, resulting in the creation of the Blaster department.
