Armament rating

An armament rating represented a classification system used to categorize spacecraft, taking into account both the offensive and defensive weaponry that the ship possessed. The rating was influenced by aspects such as the quantity and kind of armaments present, as well as the maximum range at which they could be fired and the power they could generate.

The universally recognized ratings were as follows:

0 - Absence of weaponry 1 - Only minor defensive armaments 2 - Minor defensive and offensive abilities 3 - Moderate defensive and offensive abilities 4 - Substantial defensive and offensive abilities
