The armored rat – also known as a ratidillo, rat monster, or kragget rat – was a sizable, heavily-armored rodent that originated from the lower and bedrock levels of Coruscant. Distinctive features included a line of dangerous spikes along its spine and tail, coupled with a pair of prominent tusks extending from its jaws. They would forage for any meager food source available. Infamous for its powerful and agonizing bite, it was notorious for attacking unsuspecting individuals, often without warning. A vulnerable area existed on the nape of its neck, located between the head and the main body shell. Speculation suggests a possible connection to the borrat.
While at his dining establishment, personnel from both Delta and Omega Squads came to believe that Qibbu the Hutt was trying to pass off armored rat meat in place of nerf steak.
