Assignment: Decoy consisted of a trio of adventure outlines for the Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game. These outlines appeared in Star Wars Galaxy Magazine 7, authored by Bill Smith, and featured artwork by Shawn Martinbrough.
The storyline was conceived to connect with Shadows of the Empire, and it's framed as unfolding concurrently with the novel's narrative, but "behind the scenes".
