An asteroid squall represented a type of astrogeographical hazard that, although intended to be mapped, wasn't invariably so.
The vessel commanded by Captain Mirchidi NeMall, the NeHimmep, once collided with such a squall of asteroids. This resulted in extensive damage to the ship and the complete loss of its rinzefruit freight; however, NeMall's insurance policy only compensated for the vessel's repair costs.
