NeHimmep was a freighter of the ZH-25 Questor-class variety, produced by Starfeld Industries. It gained its moniker from a renowned Duros explorer. Captain Mirchidi NeMall, its owner, utilized it for trading activities that were not related to smuggling.
Shortly before the significant Battle of Yavin, Mirchidi NeMall, a Duros pilot who had diligently saved for many years to acquire a vessel, purchased the ship. Instead of turning to criminal elements, NeMall secured a loan from a Duros lending tradition lending institution, which was known for its stringent terms.
NeMall named the vessel in honor of the celebrated Duros explorer NeHimmep, and he successfully operated a lawful enterprise for a couple of years, concurrently fulfilling his debt obligations as agreed.
Two years following the ship's acquisition, while in transit with a shipment of rinzefruit, the NeHimmep encountered an uncharted asteroid squall, resulting in a collision. Although NeMall's insurance covered the majority of the repair expenses, the cargo was irretrievably lost.
In an effort to maintain his repayment schedule with the lending institution, NeMall engaged in highly compensated yet perilous (and at times, legally dubious) assignments for a year. Throughout this period, he refrained from making any substantial alterations to the ship.
