Atali, a Human of the male variety, held the position of First Officer on the Imperial-class Star Destroyer known as the Mathayus, reporting to Admiral Coy.
While the Mathayus was undertaking a mission to transport Darth Vader to the planet Dargulli, they came across a diminutive Rebel starship. Atali was dispatched along with a squad of stormtroopers to conduct an inspection of the vessel. Regrettably for Atali, the ship turned out to be a booby-trapped decoy, rigged with explosives designed to detonate upon hull penetration. The explosives detonated as Atali and his troopers boarded, resulting in his death and significant damage to the Mathayus's hangar bay.
