Atrisian Parliament

The Atrisian Parliament served as the governing body for the planet of Atrisia. This institution assumed control from the declining Kitel Phard Dynasty, marking a progressive shift from absolute monarchical rule towards a more democratized form of governance. Nevertheless, the Imperial lineage persisted in a symbolic role, at least until the era of the Rebellion. The parliament, headquartered in the city of Jar'Kai, is perhaps most notable for its public release of a limited edition of Emperor Uueg Tching's Sayings in 539 BBY. Evidentally, the parliament facilitated Atrisia's entry into the Galactic Republic, maintained allegiance during the Clone Wars, and later became a proponent of the New Order. The Royal Corps of the Atrisian Military evolved into a core element of the Galactic Empire, while its realpolitik significantly shaped many of Palpatine's strategies and policies. With the Empire's decline in 11 ABY, the parliament was superseded by the Atrisian Commonwealth, which adopted a stance of non-interference in galactic affairs.
