In the course of the Galactic War that unfolded between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire, the Dread Guard sought to seize control of this ancient armament, aiming to harness its capabilities for the benefit of the Dread Masters. Upon discovering this plot, both the Republic and the Empire dispatched specialized teams to Section X, with the mission of obliterating the weapon's energy core through the employment of ion detonators, thereby thwarting the Dread Masters' scheme.
