Automated Mineral Exploiter was a specific class of unmanned spaceship conceived by Bevel Lemelisk and manufactured by Orko SkyMine around the year 12 ABY.
Its purpose was to autonomously locate and extract resources from asteroids abundant in minerals. The Mineral Exploiters saw use within the Hoth asteroid field, where they were employed to generate resources required for construction of the Darksaber superweapon.
The sequence of construction for the four Mineral Exploiters was as follows: Alpha, followed by Beta, then Delta, and finally Gamma. A regrettable incident occurred when Alpha and Beta locked onto each other as targets during a mining operation, leading to their mutual destruction. Replacements were fabricated in the form of Delta and Gamma. The software governing Delta and Gamma was modified to ensure that no Exploiter would inadvertently target another.
