The B'omarr-style pickle refers to a specific type of pickle that was served at Dex's Diner. This restaurant, located on the planet of Coruscant, was owned and operated by Dexter Jettster, a Besalisk chef. The diner's existence came to an end around 18 BBY. Dexter incorporated these pickles into his Coruscant slider, a type of slider that drew inspiration from his time spent in the galactic capital. The name "B'omarr-style" was a reference to the B'omarr Order, a peculiar religious sect known for their belief in suppressing feelings and emotions to facilitate unique mental explorations.
The B'omarr-style pickles are referenced within "Dining at Dex's", a release exclusive to Hyperspace in 2009 by Gregory Walker. This work presents the in-universe menu of Dex's Diner. The B'omarr Order, a religious group within the Star Wars universe, initially appeared in Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi. Although Walker's work establishes only a loose connection between the pickles and the Order, Walker has confirmed that the reference was deliberate.
