The B2-RP battle droid, also going by the names B2-RP super battle droid, rocket droid, or jetpack droid, represented a specific model of B2-series super battle droid. This model saw action with the Confederacy of Independent Systems throughout the duration of the Clone Wars. The Techno Union designed these droids, equipping them with jetpacks that made use of small-scale repulsorlifts.

B2-RP units had the capacity to fly towards and even penetrate enemy ships. During the Battle of Quell, a significant contingent of B2-RP droids was unleashed to assault Aayla Secura's task force, overwhelming the final Republic cruiser still in action. They successfully landed and swiftly gained entry to the ship, advancing through the corridors of the doomed vessel and compelling Secura and her forces to evacuate. One month before the mission to Batuu, the astromech droid R2-D2 sustained damage from a blaster shot originating from a B2-RP droid.
Later in the conflict, an improved B2-RP model, identified as the B2 super rocket trooper, was brought into service.
