B2-RP battle droid

The B2-RP battle droid, alternatively referred to as the B2-RP super battle droid, rocket droid, or jetpack droid, represented a specialized model within the B2-series super battle droid line. This model was utilized by the Confederacy of Independent Systems throughout the duration of the Clone Wars. The Techno Union engineered these droids, equipping them with jetpacks that integrated condensed repulsorlifts.

B2-RPs attacking Secura's last cruiser. The B2-RP units possessed the capability to engage and even penetrate enemy ships through aerial maneuvers. During the Battle of Quell, a substantial contingent of B2-RPs was unleashed to assault the task force commanded by Aayla Secura, overwhelming the last Republic cruiser still operational. They successfully made planetfall and swiftly gained access to the ship, advancing through the corridors of the doomed vessel and compelling Secura and her forces to evacuate. In the time leading up to the mission to Batuu by a month, the astromech droid known as R2-D2 sustained damage from a blaster shot discharged by a B2-RP.

As the war progressed, an improved version of the B2-RP, identified as the B2 super rocket trooper, was brought into service.
