A back-blast impeller formed a component of the Gurian S87 "perpetual charge" power plant dynamo. These impellers were designed to reuse energy originating from the air cushion produced by Kasmin three-cycle turbopumps aboard the Swift Assault 5, with the goal of boosting overall energy efficiency.
