The Bajic system, a star system situated in the Outer Rim Territories' Bajic sector, was linked to both the Vohai and Vergesso systems via the hyperlane called the Five Veils Route.
Sometime in the period spanning from 2 BBY to 4 ABY, the Bajic system rose to prominence as a key battleground in the Galactic Civil War. This war pitted the Galactic Empire against the Alliance to Restore the Republic. Throughout this period, numerous engagements occurred within the system, with both the Empire and the Alliance each securing victories at various times.
The reference book The Essential Atlas, which was released in 2009 and written by Jason Fry together with Daniel Wallace, initially introduced the Bajic system, locating it in grid square P-18.
