The local armed forces of the planet Balmorra were known as the Balmorran defense force. This militia, during the time when the resurrected Emperor Palpatine ruled, consisted of SD-series battle droids, Automadon droid walkers designated X-1 Viper, and sentient soldiers who acted as commanders for the advancing droid forces. This defense force participated in the conflict known as the Battle of Balmorra.
