Bantha Graveyard

The Bantha Graveyard, situated on Roon, served as the final resting place for an immense number of bantha remains. For six decades, the individual known as "Old Ogger" Baobab made this location his home, accumulating a vast collection of Roonstones until his great-nephew, Mungo Baobab, appeared, accompanied by C-3PO and R2-D2.

The social structure of banthas, characterized by tightly-knit family groups, manifests in distinctive behaviors, much like on other planets. On Roon, elderly banthas gradually migrate towards the graveyard, choosing to expire amidst the skeletal remains of past generations. It was within this graveyard, surrounded by bones, that tales circulated of terrifying entities that hunted both the dying banthas and any travelers bold - or naive - enough to traverse the windy plains.

It's worth noting that the Bantha Graveyard functioned not only as a burial ground for these animals but also as the crash site for a multitude of vessels, ranging from starfighters to freighters. Scientific minds have proposed that the event horizon of Roon interferes with the navigational systems, causing these crashes. Towards the end of the Galactic Civil War, the airspace above the graveyard was declared off-limits to all aircraft.
