The Roonstones, highly prized crystals, originated from the Umboo province located on the planet of Roon. The sole known collection of roonstones was intentionally obliterated by the deranged Governor Koong; furthermore, another collection was cast into the Roon Sea. Consequently, it was believed that the sole remaining gems were those exhibited within the Baobab Archives and the one gifted to the Emperor by Admiral Terrinald Screed.
Mungo Baobab, the daring explorer, secured the stone housed in the archives. He then embarked on a quest to locate other roonstones, accompanied by his droid allies, R2-D2 and C-3PO. This specific gem contained the Dha Werda Verda, a grand narrative detailing the conquest of the Zhell – the original inhabitants of Coruscant and potential forebears of the Human race – by the Taungs, a warrior culture who evolved into the Mandalorians.
A specific variety of Roonstone was known as Kessum.
