Bisad Koong

Bisad Koong, during the early years of the Galactic Empire, held the position of governor for the Tawntoom province located on Roon. Possessing a strong sense of megalomania, he engaged in illicit activities, such as theft and hijacking, which he managed from his fortress. Furthermore, he was a skilled practitioner of political manipulation. In the time leading up to his death, his aspirations to gain favor with both the Galactic Empire and Admiral Terrinald Screed were repeatedly undermined by the merchant Mungo Baobab along with his droids, C-3PO and R2-D2.

Biography

Before 15 BBY, Koong, accompanied by his lieutenant Gaff, utilized his private army to take over Roon, effectively establishing himself as the Governor of the Tawntoom province. Following this, he accumulated a significant amount of wealth by seizing control of a lightstation situated within the Cloak of the Sith. He intentionally caused ships to crash while attempting to navigate the dust cloud, subsequently recovering the wreckage to extract valuable items for sale on the black market. These items included ship components, Nergon-14, and Mupple.

Driven by a desire to forge an alliance with the Empire, Koong entered into an agreement with Admiral Terrinald Screed. He would provide the Empire with precious Roonstones in exchange for maintaining his considerable financial stability and a degree of autonomy over Roon. Upon salvaging the Caravel, a vessel owned by Mungo Baobab, Koong mistakenly believed the merchant to be one of Screed's subordinates and proceeded to reveal the inner workings of his operations. It was only when Screed himself arrived to inspect Koong's activities that Koong realized he had been deceived. Baobab and his droids, R2-D2 and C-3PO, were then apprehended. However, Baobab managed to escape, damaging the lightstation and causing it to collide with an asteroid.

Governor Koong and Admiral Screed

After his previous plan failed, Koong was desperate to prove his worth to the Empire. He resolved to suppress resistance in the Umboo Province. To achieve this, he attempted to manipulate the Roon Colonial Games to ensure that his Tawntoom team would defeat the Umboo team, thereby demoralizing any rebellious sentiments. However, his efforts were thwarted by the intervention of Mungo Baobab.

Later, Koong sought to use the Rooze Disease to poison the Umboo Province, but he inadvertently contracted the disease himself. The renowned physician, Nilz Yomm, was captured and forced to develop a cure for the illness. However, Baobab managed to steal the cure and liberate the doctor. Baobab then negotiated an exchange, offering the cure and the location of the Roonstone treasure in return for his ship and Koong's promise to leave Umboo in peace. Nevertheless, Screed betrayed Koong, seizing control of Roon and claiming the treasure for himself.

Koong made a failed attempt to assassinate Baobab and the Imperials, but he succumbed to his illness before he could administer the cure and ultimately died.

Personality and traits

Compared to most Humans, Koong was rather short and stout, with a noticeable belly. His appearance was further characterized by a five o'clock shadow and an unbuttoned shirt, contributing to an unkempt look. He sported a buzzcut hairstyle and possessed a rough, gravelly voice.

Koong's attire consisted of a green uniform with a red belt, red boots, and gold epaulets. This particular uniform design was also worn by the soldiers under his command.

Behind the scenes

In "The Roon Games," Koong was animated with only four digits on each hand, instead of the usual five.
