The Bartyn mansion served as the residence for the Bartyn family on Lamaredd, a planet where they exerted near-total dominance. Its position was on Mt. Hugo, the tallest peak within the Krakana's Maw mountain range, and it stood in close proximity to the settlement of Bartyn's Landing.
Aside from the city, the Bartyn mansion represented the largest man-made construction on the entire planet. Constructed using native red vaffu tree wood, it resembled a warlord's fortress, yet it incorporated sophisticated technology and utilized Outer Rim Oreworks security forces for its protection. Furthermore, it was lavishly adorned, but in a tasteful manner.
