The Basan system, the birthplace of the Basani high priests, resided within the Churba sector of the Mid Rim.
The system of Basan initially appeared in The Essential Atlas, a reference book from 2009 authored by Jason Fry and Daniel Wallace, which situated it at map coordinate P-15.
