The conflict known as the Battle of Antamont unfolded on the planet Antamont amidst the backdrop of the Clone Wars, pitting the forces of the Grand Army of the Republic against those of the Separatist Droid Army.
During the Clone Wars, Antamont, a mountainous, verdant planet devoid of heavy industry, served as the location of a Galactic Republic stronghold. Separatist forces set their sights on this base, deploying swarms of B1-series battle droids, grapple droids, dwarf spider droids, and Hailfire droids through the mountainous terrain, advancing toward the Republic installation. The Republic forces had strategically placed landmines along their route, which inflicted substantial damage upon the advancing droid army.
Eventually, the Republic and CIS forces engaged in combat within a valley. As their respective infantry units drew closer, both sides initiated missile barrages. While the primary mode of engagement involved infantry and ground-based vehicles, aerial skirmishes also transpired between the opposing forces.
In the wake of the battle, the landscape of Antamont was scattered with the wreckage of destroyed battle droids, frequently discovered by local agricultural workers. One such droid, a deserter from the conflict, was found in operational condition and subsequently taken to a ranch by a pair of farmers.
