Battle of Manari
The conflict known as the Battle of Manari took place in 19.5 BBY on the Expansion Region planet called Manari. This battle, a part of the larger Clone Wars, pitted the Galactic Republic against forces opposed to them. Roan Shryne, a Jedi General, participated in the battle, where his Padawan, his second, met their death. Shryne's experience with his Padawan's passing deeply affected him, leading to a loss of faith in the Jedi Council and a growing cynicism regarding the war itself.
Behind the scenes
The novel Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader, authored by James Luceno in 2005, contained the initial reference to the Battle of Manari.
