The Battle of New Bornalex occurred in 19.42 BBY. This conflict unfolded during the closing months of the Clone Wars, and it was a component of the larger Outer Rim Sieges campaign.
A Separatist force, consisting of Mandalorian Protectors, BL-series Battle Legionnaires along with a variety of battle droids, launched a rapid and overwhelming attack on Galactic Republic positions located at New Bornalex.
One notable clash during this battle involved the Galactic Marines. During an engagement with B2 super battle droids, the weapon systems integrated into the Marines' experimental spacetrooper armor malfunctioned. Despite this setback, the Galactic Marines continued the fight, physically dismantling their adversaries using the amplified strength provided by their powered armor. This particular confrontation significantly bolstered the Galactic Marines' formidable reputation.
