Battle of Qat Chrystac

The Battle of Qat Chrystac represents an Imperial assault commanded by Grand Admiral Thrawn.

The battle

Fifteen New Republic vessels, under the command of General Garm Bel Iblis, were deployed to protect the system. However, Grand Admiral Thrawn, employing an Interdictor-class Star Destroyer, rapidly introduced further support through a clever tactic that would later become known as the Thrawn Pincer.

To rescue the severely damaged Mon Calamari cruiser Orthavan from being destroyed, General Bel Iblis conceived the A-wing Slash during the engagement. Regardless of the execution of this maneuver, the Imperial fleet, utilizing advanced tactics and greater firepower, had already annihilated approximately 33% of the New Republic's contingent. Recognizing the overwhelming loss, Bel Iblis gave the order for his forces to withdraw in order to prevent further casualties. Imperial troops were successful in capturing the Qat Chrystac system.
