Battle of the Generis system

During the time of the Galactic Civil War, a battle unfolded in the Generis system when the Rebel Alliance executed a surprise attack on the Imperial Oplovis Sector Fleet. This Imperial task force, known as the Oplovis Fleet, was heading toward the Mantooine system with the intention of striking at the Rebel forces stationed there. The Alliance learned of this impending attack when Alliance Intelligence agent Commander Zgorth'sth deciphered the Imperial requisition logs, thereby uncovering their strategy. After Commander Zgorth'sth informed Chief of Intelligence Vernan, Admiral Gial Ackbar led three Alliance cruisers in an ambush, catching the Imperial vessels as they exited hyperspace and securing a decisive win for the Alliance.
