The battle

To overcome the Imperial forces, Alliance Commander Narra, along with his droid K-3PO, came up with a remarkably straightforward strategy. Capitalizing on the necessity for Imperial ships to approach closely to deploy their TIE fighter squadrons, the Rebel fighters took advantage of the resulting vulnerability. The Alliance starfighters concentrated their attacks on the larger, less agile vessels, ultimately leading to their destruction.

Rebel Alliance fighters succeeded in destroying two frigates, a dreadnaught, and several TIE fighters.

Aftermath

As a direct result of this Imperial loss, the Ton-Falk-class escort carriers were created.
