Battle of Ukio

Prelude

During the period known as the Clone Wars, a widespread galactic war pitting the Confederacy of Independent Systems against the Galactic Republic, the Jedi Order dispatched Jedi Masters including Kit Fisto, Keelyvine Reus, and the Padawan Tyzen Xebec. Their mission was to examine the energy shield protecting the planet, accompanied by a contingent of clone troopers. The Republic's concern stemmed from doubts about the Ukians' ability to withstand a potential assault by the Separatists. Further, the planet held strategic importance as a primary supplier of resources, notably food, for other planets within the sector and those along the Triellus Trade Route. Consequently, preventing Ukio from falling into Separatist hands was paramount.

While the Jedi, alongside several clone troopers, were in the process of inspecting the shield generator, the Separatists commenced their offensive against Ukio. Reus proposed a swift reconnaissance mission utilizing their Jedi interceptors. During their flight near the Trade Federation battleship, Fisto and Reus observed the launch of numerous modified seismic tanks from the vessel. These tanks released a cloud of soil originating from the planet Moorja, which was then deposited onto the planetary shield.
