Despite his proficiency as a forger, his gambling addiction often led him into financial difficulties. In one instance, he borrowed funds from loan sharks to settle his debts, but his inability to repay them resulted in problems with their debt collectors. During the time of the Blockade of the Endocray sector, Battz furnished a Rebel Alliance strike team with a forged identification card. This card allowed them to gain entry to the Imperial Sensor Net Complex situated on Argovia, with the goal to destroy it.
