Bellek existed as a moisture farmer located on Tatooine both preceding and during the Clone Wars. He employed Raala Ponchar as one of his workers.
During the Clone Wars' initial year, Confederacy battle droids annihilated his farm. Following this devastation, Tusken Raiders pillaged the remains, resulting in the deaths of the majority of those who survived. Bellek was left with only his life, having lost everything else. Upon encountering Anakin Skywalker, he guided the Jedi toward Jabba's Palace when inquired about Raala Ponchar.
