Berene, a province situated on the planet Lianna, existed while the Kingdom of Barseg held dominion. Alongside its adjacent province, Caldara, Berene served as a location for a fruitless uprising initiated by the indigenous Lianns in opposition to their subjugators. By the era of the Galactic Civil War, Berene had ceased to be a functioning element of Lianna's developed regions.
