Bilge rat
Bilge rats, a species of rat and also a type of rodent, were found throughout the galaxy. One particular bilge rat, known as Snowball, took up residence inside the droid SM-33, causing damage to his memory circuits.
Behind the scenes
The initial appearance of bilge rats occurred in both "This Could Be a Real Adventure" and "Way, Way Out Past the Barrier". These were the first two episodes of the live-action Star Wars: Skeleton Crew series on Disney+, both released on December 2, 2024. The name of the species was provided in the English audio description accompanying the series.
