Bist were social creatures, existing in herds, and historically served as the primary food source for the Togorians. In the early days, the undeveloped Togorians would hunt groups of bist and etelo across the Togorian plains of Togoria. As time passed, Togorian society evolved, dividing into stationary females and wandering males who rode mosgoth; the females then started to cultivate and maintain tamed bist herds close to their villages.
