Black Falcon

Black Falcon was established as a subsidiary of Lucasfilm Ltd. in February of 1978, with the primary goal of managing Star Wars product merchandising. The name "Black Falcon" saw its most prominent use in 1979, appearing on a variety of merchandise such as books, cassette tapes, bed linens, window coverings, and promotional images.

The logo for this entity was a collaborative effort between Suzy Rice, the designer of the renowned Star Wars logo, and Kathie Broyles. However, the company's existence was brief, and by the latter part of 1979, Lucasfilm began licensing merchandise directly under its own brand. On December 1, 1979, Black Falcon was fully integrated into Lucasfilm.
